See more of the Abel Tasman National Park from a kayak than any other day trip! This tour is all about the Seals and Birdsong. After your Sea Shuttle cruise to Anchorage, you will have plenty of time to explore the sheltered waters and golden sand beaches of the Astrolabe Roadstead and paddle with the Seals at Adele Island Wildlife Sanctuary. Sit back in your Kayak, close your eyes and listen to the chorus of birdsong such as the 'South Island Robin' and the 'South Island Saddleback', one of the worlds rarest birds. We move in the direction of the prevailing sea breeze which gives us great sailing opportunities as we make our way back to Kaiteriteri via the world famous Split Apple Rock.
- A one-way tour moving in the same direction as the predominant wind – the sea breeze.
- See the entire southern coastline and enjoy easier paddling with the wind
- Plenty of open-water sailing when the sea-breeze allows
- NZ Fur Seal encounters at Adele Island Fur Seal Colony
- Listen to the Birdsong at Adele Island
- Experience some of the secluded beaches of the Astrolabe area, paddle the islands and explore
- This tour requires a reasonable level of fitness
